It was another weekend of triumphs and tales for Lethen Archers at the AGB National Indoor Championships and Back-to-Back from November 6-8, in the thrilling metropolis of Stoneleigh near Coventry. Three of our brave souls embarked on the epic quest to this annual showdown.

"Think that was my worst qualifying score to date but scraped through to the 50+ head to head matches. Had to wait 3 hours to start my matches but thanks to some great supporters I won my quarter final and semi final. Just couldn’t quite get my shots together in the final so came away with Silver."

"What a great day! First ever national indoor championships and ended up just making a qualifying cutoff and 2nd best Scottish men's compound score. I ended up against the 2nd best of the day and did some of the best shooting I've ever done in the head to heads to secure the win and set a Scottish record as well. Lost out to my second head to head due to a bit of judge mishap but didn't have the knowledge to call it out. Overall it's been an absolute pleasure shooting today and thank you to all the Scotland folks hyping me up and keeping my calm during the shoot."

"The National Indoors 2024 will be one to remember! 2 ends in to the second half i tried to come down, safety failed and sent the arrow through my finger and downrange. Luckily no permanent damage but lots of blood (and it really bloody hurt!). Was very grateful (and sorry) for everyone who witnessed it happen and came to my aid, and to the medical team for keeping on top of bandage changes.
I ended up shooting some awesome ends afterwards whilst running on the adrenaline high and finished on 555 with a miss, which saw me into the H2Hs where I finished 17th. Picked up a bronze medal with the Scotland compound team which was really awesome!
Not bad at all really, although my reputation as “the girl that shot herself” won’t be going away any time soon 😂"
