Sunday 2nd November saw a good number of Lethen Field Archers head down to Edinburgh for the SFAA Scottish Indoor Flint Championship 2025. And it was quite a successful trip with a total of eight medals, five new club records and one new Scottish record. Congratulations to everyone who took part, especially Steve and Anna, as this was their first (hopefully of many) competition. Also, a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and running the event, we really do appreciate all you hard work.

🎯🏹 First competition of the indoor season, SFAA Ltd. Flint championships. Didn't shoot quite as well as I'd hoped and made the silly mistake of forgetting to reset my sight at the start of the second unit. Still, final score of 235/280 was enough to get the bronze medal 🥉

Good day at the SIFC. Getting back into the swing of things, after too much time out healing from the double shoulder tendinits. Did surprisingly well scores-wise, even though they didn't let me keep the "11" from hitting the target number. :) Felt like I understood what wasn't right in the 3s and definitely honestly came by the misses. Patience somewhat lacking in this grasshopper. :)
Good company on the boss as per usual, nice to have a good group of club members to share the day with, and thanks to Edwin and Steven for putting up with the comments from the back bench in the car! ^_^

Scottish Flint Champion + New National Record 🥳
Haven’t felt this confident in my shooting in a long time, the bowhunter never fails to teach me things about shooting my normal bow!

Really enjoyed today’s shoot. First time in quite a while that I’ve felt happy with my shooting. Scored a respectable 249 (just 2 points off the Scottish record) and cleared the threshold by 10 points to take the Veteran Female Freestyle Recurve Title at the SFAA Ltd. Flint Championships in Edinburgh 😊🏹
