It was a team of one for Lethen Archers at the Bannockburn Open Worcester and WA18 were Carin seems to have enjoyed herself...
"Ventured forth without the company of Team Lethen and assorted whale/dolphin, and had a technically less successful day. Won both my classes - because no-one else in them - and "best red" for Barebow, but couldn't quite find my form and scored lower than I have in a while as a result. Good thing I'm in this for the archery and the socialising with other archers. : ) It was a good day out chatting with my boss mates, and flinging arrows in the general direction of boss 3. Bannockburn Bowmen do well-run competitions that are a pleasure to attend, and it was a fun brace of archery sessions.
The sun did a cameo in the afternoon, which did unsettling things to the lighting conditions and therefore the whole aiming thing. The general feeling was that it was a shame to waste one of the few days with nice weather recalibrating one's sights indoors, but needs must, and it was nice (if unusual) to not have to lug the mountain of kit back to the car in pouring rain. : )
Took the wrong turn several times on the way back (strangely not on the way there) on the small, twisty, village-strewn roads, which was educational. I will do better next time, especially if I give in to common sense and get SatNav. ^_^"
