Scottish Outdoor Championships 2025

It was a busy weekend of archery championships for the last weekend of August with both SFAA and SAA holding their championships at the same time. While a couple of our archers travelled down to Fyfe for SFAC25, we had Hamish, Debbie And Robyn competing in the SAA championships hosted by Aberdeen University Archery Club. As always, a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and running the event.

🏹 2025 Scottish Outdoor Championship 🥇🏹

I’m proud to say I came away with 1st place to become the Scottish Outdoor Compound Champion. Great feeling as I also came away with the indoor title. Great performance for the 2025 outdoor season.

It feels great to have earned the title, but I’ll be honest, it was a bit disappointing that there wasn’t a trophy for compound this year due to them not being handed back and no funding to replace them and on top of that, the compound champions didn’t actually get announced at the event. Still, the result stands, and I’m happy to add this one to the season’s achievements.

Overall a fun day seeing the peeps I enjoy shooting with and look forward to finalising my hot streak this weekend at the @scottish_archery Tour finals.

Last shoot of the outdoor season this weekend, just the Scottish Tour Finals next weekend then it’s back indoors 😱

Senior champs yesterday and my old nemesis 50m caused me a few issues again and I finished in 4th.

50+ champs today but sadly I was the only one in the Ladies Recurve category so it was an uncontested win 😢 I did however shoot much better today despite the windy conditions and ended with respectable score of 1227 😃🏹

Scottish Champs 2025 🏹

Bit of a letdown really, couldn’t get my shots going, weather was a bit pants and the vibe was lacking throughout. Wasn’t the end to the season I was hoping for, so made up for it in raffle prizes.
