Scottish Tour Stage 1 - Banchory

The first stage of the SAA Scottish Tour was held at Banchory on 24th & 25th May 2025. Day one was the Recurve and Longbow divisions, while Compounds and Barebows shot on day two.

Day one saw Kris and Debbie in the recurve categories. Kris came 25th in the qualification round with a score of 341 but was knocked out in his first head-to head round. But it was success for Debbie as she came first in the qualification round with a score of 580. She then battled through the head-to-heads to take the gold medal in the Women's Recurve division.

"Had a good first half, second half not quite as strong but enough to qualify in first. Not a fan of head to heads but made it through to somehow take the gold. It was a hot, sticky, tiring but fun day 😊🏹

Day two we had Hamish and Robyn in the compound categories. Hamish came fourth in the qualification round with a score of 645 but was knocked out of the head-to-heads in the quarter finals by Michal Kozera who went on to win bronze. Robyn qualified second with a score of 648 and battled her way through the head-to-heads to take the gold medal in the Women's Compound division.
